Berlin (dpa-AfX)-SPD parliamentary group leader Matthias Miersch has practically excluded a solution for the Federal Constitutional Court after the burst of judges about a compromise candidate with the Union. “For me it is clear: we stick to our candidates. I expect the majority to be standing,” wrote Miersch in a personal explanation at the beginning of the parliamentary summer break.
This is especially true, since the actual author would not maintain the allegations of a plagiarism. An outstanding candidate for the Federal Constitutional Court with flawless career and the best qualification was “victims of an unprecedented dirt campaign”, emphasized Miersch and thus stood in front of the Jura professor Frauke Brosius-Gersdorf.
“Today’s day should never have happened like this, precisely because we voted our candidates with the Union. We agreed on the common proposal,” writes Miersch. Accordingly, the joint proposal on Monday received the necessary two -thirds majority in the judge’s election committee. The weeks of the parliamentary summer break would have to be used to process the process with the Union in all thoroughness ./cn/dp/men
