The Sparks are going on a North American and European tour and will also be making a stop at Berlin’s Tempodrom on June 18th. Advance sales start on February 1st. It is the only planned tour stop in Germany.
The new album THE GIRL IS CRYING IN HER LATTE has been announced for May 26th, a single has not yet been released. In 2021 the album ANNETTE to the film of the same name by Leos Carax was released. The brothers wrote the screenplay together with the director. Edgar Wright also released the documentary The Sparks Brothers and in 2020 they released the album A STEADY DRIP, DRIP, DRIP.
THE GIRL IS CRYING IN HER LATTE is the 26th album by brothers Ron and Russell Mael, who formed Sparks in Los Angeles in 1972. Since then there have been some style changes. From glam rock in the early ’70s to new wave and techno beats on 1994’s ‘When Do I Get To Sing ‘My Way”, which was a huge hit in Germany.
