A 22-year-old Spanish woman consistently arrived for work between 6:45 and 7:00 in the morning, almost forty minutes before her shift was actually scheduled to start. And her manager was not happy about that. Since 2023, the woman was repeatedly told not to clock in before 7:30 a.m., but the woman continued to do so.
Her boss eventually lost his patience and fired the woman based on “serious misconduct.” According to him, she continued to ignore his instructions and arrived too early, meaning there was nothing to do. As a result, she contributed nothing to the company.
The woman then went to court, but she was unsuccessful. According to the judge, her “excessive punctuality” was not the problem, but her stubborn refusal to adhere to workplace rules.
