Spanish fathers will soon receive 17 weeks of leave after the birth of their child: almost nowhere in Europe so generously

The Spanish government wants to expand the paid birth leave to seventeen weeks for both fathers and mothers. This includes Spain: in almost no other European country, both parents receive the same amount of fully paid leave after the birth of a child. Only Finland currently offers a similar arrangement.
