record of job and record of stability in the same. April has statistically beaten several goals that account for the effects of the full entry into force of the new contracting formulas of the labor reform. Spain won last month 184,577 employedwhich allowed him exceed the threshold of 20 million active workers. There have never been so many people working in Spain at the same time. And on the other hand, one in two of the new contracts signed were indefinite, when the usual thing until now was that one in 10 were fixed. Unemployment, for its part, rounded off a good month for the labor market, with its biggest decline in three yearswhich leaves the level of unemployed at three million people.

On April 1, the new hiring conditions agreed between the Government, employers and unions in the labor reform came into force. The main novelty is that the work and service contract -which moved 40% of contracting in Spain-, the fines were increased for companies that abused temporary contracting and other figures were encouraged, statistically classified as indefinite even though they have high traces of temporality, as is the case of discontinuous permanent contracts (working only a few weeks or months a year). The result has been a superlative boom in statistically permanent contracts.
