In Spain, the chairlift of the Astun ski resort, in Huesca in the Pyrenees, fell off from a height of 15 metres. At the moment the toll, according to what El Mundo reports, is at least 30 injured, 17 of which are in serious conditions. As indicated by the general director of emergencies of the Government of Aragon, Miguel Ángel Clavero, the accident occurred due to a fault in the chairlift’s pulley, which caused the cable holding one of the seats to break.
