South Korean police raid President Yoon’s office, former defense minister tries to take his own life

A South Korean police investigation team raided the presidential office, Yonhap news agency reported. President Yoon Suk-yeol is the subject of a criminal investigation on charges of starting an uprising after briefly declaring a military emergency last week. Former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun, who is said to have prompted Yoon to declare a state of emergency, has now tried to take his own life in a detention center.
