Where you can swim in open water depends on shipping, the safety of the water, and the infrastructure. In West Flanders there are four locations in Nieuwpoort, but also the Fintele in Alveringem, the Oude Vaart in Ypres and Damse Vaart. For the time being it is still forbidden to swim there.
