from Vantaa Juha Häkkinen like many other Finns and Nordics, spends a winter holiday in Tenerife, Canary Islands.
However, Häkkinen’s vacation took a surprising turn when King Harald of Norway, who was also vacationing on the island, was hospitalized on Tuesday evening due to a foot infection. Häkkinen’s hotel is located right next to the hospital.
– Queen Sonja and Harald’s psychiatrist just left the hospital, Häkkinen told Iltalehte on Wednesday after 8 pm.
The private hospital is located in the southern parts of the island.
Häkkinen was not startled when he already noticed earlier in the day that there were policemen, tourists, locals and the media in front of the hospital.
– I guessed that Harald would be treated here, Häkkinen smiles.

Häkkinen says that there has been an expectant atmosphere in front of the hospital during the evening, but it became electrified when Sonja and the spirit doctor Bjørn Bendz stormed out of the hospital.
Sonja had gone to the hospital in the afternoon.
– There are many Norwegian, Finnish and Swedish tourists here in front of the hospital. Harald is quite popular in Norway.

In addition to local media representatives, there are also Norwegian journalists and cameramen on duty in front of the hospital.
Hovi announced earlier today that 89-year-old Harald’s condition is now stable.
– The king’s general condition is good and he responds well to the treatment he received, court psychiatrist Bjørn Bendz said in the press release.
