Next new signing for S04: The Gelsenkircheners strengthen their offensive with a Swedish national player – with a big name.
Bundesliga returnees Schalke 04 strengthened the offensive on Friday with the Swedish national soccer player Jordan Larsson, son of goalscorer icon Henrik Larsson. The 25-year-old, who terminated his contract with Spartak Moscow at the end of June, will be signed until 2025.
“I’m very happy that the move has come about. Schalke 04 have made an impressive development over the past few months, which I’ve followed closely from afar,” commented the new Royal Blue attacker.
“Jordan convinced us in the talks that he is very interested in Schalke 04 and our common mission to stay in the league,” said Schalke’s sporting director Rouven Schröder. Coach Frank Kramer added: “Jordan suits us very well with his way of playing football. He’s always looking for one-on-ones and is always able to assert himself with his pace and technique.”
