Son-in-law and Trump adviser had thyroid cancer in 2019
Jared Kushner, the son-in-law and then adviser to former President Donald Trump, had thyroid cancer in 2019. This is what Kushner writes in his autobiography about his time in the White House, which will be released in August and which the Reuters news agency could view.
In November of that year, Kushner had surgery to remove a large portion of his thyroid gland. At the time, Kushner was in tense negotiations with China over a trade deal. He kept the diagnosis and surgery a secret, but Trump was aware.
