A barn with solar panels on Iraklia in Hoofddorp burned to the ground this afternoon. The fire started in the solar panels, says the Safety Region, but it is not yet known what caused the fire.

The fire is now under control, but not completely extinguished. The fire brigade will need some time to extinguish the smoldering remains.
No injuries
No one was in the shed at the time of the fire. The residents of the house managed to get themselves to safety in time.
The shed in question is attached to the associated house, the spokesperson for the Security Region said. To prevent the sea of flames from spreading to the house, the facade was sprayed as a precaution.
