Soccer Mommy announces new EP with Taylor Swift cover

Soccer Mommy will release her new EP KARAOKE NIGHT on September 22nd. You can find all information here.

Soccer Mommy invites you to the KARAOKE NIGHT – that’s the title of her new EP, which will be released on September 22 and will include five tracks.

The Sheryl Crow cover “Soak Up The Sun”, which was released at the end of July, already gives a foretaste. The newly released Taylor Swift cover ‘I’m Only Me When I’m With You’ aims to finally spark curiosity about Sophie Allison’s upcoming EP, the native name of Soccer Mommy. “I really wanted to cover this song because it’s one of my favorite songs from Taylor’s first album. I listened to this record so many times as a kid, and I think it influenced me a lot back then,” says the soft-voiced musician, explaining her connection to the American singer’s song. You can also look forward to covers of REM, Slowdive and Pavement.

Soccer Mommy released her current studio album SOMETIMES, FOREVER in the summer of 2022. With a single like “Unhold Affliction” she showed an even darker side of herself. Also last year, the indie-pop singer hid a reference to Taylor Swift in the demo version of her song “Darkness Forever” by captioning it “Sophie’s Version” – a tribute to the pop icon’s recent re-recorded albums.
