Sergei Sobyanin warned of worsening weather in Moscow. Forecasters warn of strong winds, rain and sleet

“In the coming days, from today until Tuesday, we expect a significant deterioration in the weather in Moscow. Rain, snow, strong wind,” Sobyanin said.

In the press service of the municipal economy complex reportedthat city services are on high alert. In particular, the Mosvodostok brigades were sent to places where water accumulation is possible, and 1.5 thousand emergency teams are ready for a prompt response to emergency situations.

Metropolitan Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations earlier advised during bad weather, bypass billboards and shaky structures, do not take cover under trees and do not park cars under them. While driving, avoid sudden maneuvers and increase the distance from vehicles in front.

The leading specialist of the Phobos Weather Center, Mikhail Leus, also warned about the worsening weather in Moscow. He told RBC that an active North Atlantic cyclone is moving towards the central part of Russia.
