Bayer can lose so much money because of ten hag

After only two match days, Erik Ten Hag is no longer a coach at Bayer Leverkusen. That could be expensive for the club.
Erik Ten Hag has to go to Bayer Leverkusen after only two months. “We just had the feeling that it was going in a direction that is not the right one,” said sports manager Simon Rolfes. “We have many new players and it is important that there is clarity in many points and the direction is clear. We missed this in some areas.”
The Dutch had signed a contract at Bayer Leverkusen until 2027, in which he earns 5.5 million euros a year. The “Sport Bild” reported in June. Accordingly, he was the best paid coach in the Bundesliga after Vincent Kompany (FC Bayern, 7 million euros).
But the high salary could now become a great difficulty in Bayer. After all, the club separated from the Dutch after two match days. The 1-2 home defeat against TSG Hoffenheim and the 3: 3 draw in overnight at Werder Bremen were not the only reasons for dismissal. Rather, the bosses from Leverkusen around managing director Sport Simon Rolfes, regardless of the results, did not feel possible sustainable cooperation with ten HAG.
Bayer is now threatened with a minus of eleven million euros. This could be reduced by the Bundesliga club with the coach on a contract termination – or ten HAG finds a new club. Overall, however, the Ten HAG case will go down as an expensive misunderstanding in Bavarian history.
