Christoffer Strandberg easily spends a full working week at the garden.

The sun shines from full sky. The ValoMeri emphasizes the idyllic exterior of the detached house area in Siuntio. In the front yard of the petrol blue house, a familiar face is met. Actress-presenter Christoffer Strandberg welcomes the journalist and the photographer to Siuntio and is ready to present his premises.

Strandberg moved Tendon-It and his spouse to Siuntio eight years ago. In the current home, the couple spends the fifth summer. Strandberg is a bare -footed Siuntio and, for example, a childhood cottage road is not very far from the present house.

When looking at the Strandberg yard, attention is immediately drawn to the well -groomed details. As you go around the yard, it suddenly becomes clear how passionate Strandberg is about gardening.

It is a hobby that Strandberg easily spends easy for almost one week of work.

– It’s the way I control stress. Here I structure my thoughts. The garden is easy to influence it and see the handprint right away, says Strandberg.

Strandberg closely visions his yard and is heard in his speech. Before getting to know the garden, Strandberg states that he only sees what is unfinished in the yard.

In the eyes of the journalist, the yard does not look incomplete at all. The yard is full of different plantings, from sting to alpine roses and many other plants.

“There may be a bit of a gate theory here that one plant leads to another,” Strandberg laughs.

Originally, the garden was supposed to extend only around the yard, the forest of the lower yard was intended to be untouched. Now, however, the area has changed since four years ago, and for example, on the other side of the site, there has been a road that previously replaced the treasure forest.

“The increased light in itself is nice, but there was quite a lot of vision protection,” says Strandberg.

Proper vision protection requires several years, but we are on its way. Gardening is a clear area of responsibility on a common plot of the couple. Janne’s spouse, in turn, manages construction, which Christoffer may not have enough skill and patience.

“It’s good because neither will come to the plots of others,” Strandberg laughs.

The hobby goes money

Strandberg’s systematic gardening is noticed by small things. For example, the fences around the plantings signal that Strandberg wants to protect the property of the garden and keep the browns and deer at bay.

“Otherwise, the plantings have been eaten and I can’t live with myself,” Strandberg says.

As the garden circulates, a few plants that Strandberg highlights. Particularly important is the blueberry shrub from Janne Puhaka, who died in October 2024. That Strandberg had to protect right out of the box.

– I would strangle that deer personally, which is going on. The shrub is special because it is given him, Strandberg says.

Another important plant for Strandberg in the yard is the alpine rose, the color of the flowering of which stands out in the yard.

– It’s evergreen, but not a conifer. It is, of course, a working plant, but at the same time quite satisfied, Strandberg glows.

The alpine rose garden is one example of Strandberg’s exact vision for his yard. One day, he wondered how great it would be if the blooms of the upper yard continued even further in the yard. Now the alpine roses have also been extended to the Ala Yard.

– My spouse said it wasn’t enough already. That I never see you at home when you’re in the pushing, Strandberg laughs.

Soon, however, Janne’s spouse had another voice on the clock.

– He came home and said, “Now there would be a discount in one garden shop.” That was enough for me. It was permission to go shopping, ”says Strandberg.

A good sum of money has sunk in Christoffer Strandberg’s garden hobby. Timur Yilmaz

Even the money has gone to hobby. The natural stones that have been brought to the site have cost five hundred euros per large bag. Money has also sunk in gravel, fertilizers and naturally plants.

Strandberg does not know the exact amount, but thinks the amount is five digits. However, he states that money is an irrelevant point in gardening.

– Sometimes you get money into your hobby. Yes, a horse would probably be more expensive, but this is near, Strandberg laughs.

“Now no longer,” Strandberg has often said about his gardening, and even now there is enough to care for that new plantings would not necessarily need to be needed. However, one blood maple could still fit in.

Perhaps the gate theory mentioned by Strandberg makes sense.

– But there are worse drugs than gardening, says Strandberg.
