In the two -degree cold Oslo, however, Knorr was packed in a thick jacket. Just leave nothing to chance before the important World Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday, to which the 24-year-old reported fit again.

Knorr had missed the two main round games against Italy and Tunisia because of an illness. Last Friday he even left the team hotel in Silkeborg Danish to be treated in Flensburg. The team traveled to Oslo on Sunday without him. Knorr traveled from Germany on Monday – and will play against Portugal.

“Juri will definitely be there,” announced national coach Alfred Gislason at a press conference on Tuesday. However, Knorr is not yet completely fit again after his illness. “Juri is an important factor with us. You have to see how much he can play. It is not 100 percent and will only be used in phases. He will not play through 60 minutes. Rather ten minutes and then ten minutes break. is a big loss, “said Gislason.

DHB captain Johannes Golla nevertheless made a relieved manner about the return of Knorr. “It is always nice when someone comes back from an illness. He is an important part of our team and can become important for us if they can build on the performance from the preliminary round,” said Golla.
