The snowboarders are looking for their new world champions in St. Moritz. When do the races take place? Who has the best chances? The answers to the most important questions can be found here.

Where and when does the World Cup take place?

The World Championships will be held in Engadin from March 17th to 30th – at three different locations around St. Moritz. In the Nobelskiort itself, the big air athletes on the Olympic hill will battel. In addition, the award ceremonies take place in St. Moritz. In the Snowpark of Corvatsch, the disciplines of Halfpipe and Slopestyle are about victory. The alpine members and the snowboard crossers start on the Berg Corviglia.

In St. Moritz it’s about World Cup medals.

Who are the favorites?

At the World Cup in St. Moritz, many eyes will be aimed at the exceptional athlete Ester Ledecka. The 2018 ski and snowboard Olympic champion has been taking part in the World Cup for the first time since 2017. The Czech was seen on two boards in the Ski Alpin World Cup for the past few weeks and months-in St. Moritz she will fight for gold with the other top favorites Ramona Hofmeister and Miki Tsubaki (Japan). The audience can also look forward to US star Chloe Kim and Japanese Ruka Hurano in the Halfpipe.

Who is missing, who can hope?

Leon Vockensberger decided against the start for health reasons, and André Hödell celebrates his comeback after a break. Either Nils Conradt or Leon Beckhaus will jump on the World Cup train. If you book the ticket and drive to the World Cup in the Snowboard Cross as a replacement driver, you will choose this weekend at the World Cup in Montafon, which takes place in front of the World Cup.

What are the chances of the Germans?

The German hopes are mainly on the alpine with the snowboarders. Ramona Hofmeister was able to win six individual races this winter. Team colleague Elias Huber is also hot on the medal after his premiere victory this winter. But not only in individual races, the two were already convincing, Hofmeister and Huber won the team parallel race at the World Cup general rehearsal in Winterberg-and are on gold in St. Moritz. A lot can also go on a top day for Cheyenne Loch and Stefan Baumeister.

Ramona Hofmeister was last in top form after a difficult start to the season.

Leon Ulbricht dreams of the big World Cup coup in the snowboard cross, once this winter he was at the top, teammate Kurt Hoshino was second. The slopestyer Annika Morgan travels on the account with two second places.
