Snowboard finals postponed due to weather chaos

The snowboard cross final planned for today in Les Deux Alpes, France, has been postponed due to the weather.

Poor visibility and strong wind prevented the final run with a total of six Germans, as the Austrian Ski Association announced. The final, in which the German overall World Cup winner Martin Nörl wants to collect the first World Cup points, is now scheduled to take place on Sunday.

The start of the boardercross season in Les Deux Alpes was originally planned for the end of October. Due to a lack of snow, the event was moved to December early on.
