The Livigno native from Valtellina has been unbeatable since the qualifying round, which ended with the best time. Won. The thirty-one year old from the Army thus brings his tally of successes in the World Cup to 8. Aaron March finishes third after beating Mirko Felicetti. “I’m very motivated, I want to dedicate this victory to my sister, she knows why – are the words of Bormolini -. It’s always crazy to duel with Karl, he always pushes beyond the limits and it’s a constant challenge. There couldn’t have been a better start: I’m very happy and we hope to continue like this”.
the women’s race

In the women’s giant slalom Lucia Dalmasso wins an all-blue final against her teammate Elisa Caffont, who collects the best result of her career. Dalmasso, a twenty-eight year old from Belluno from Falcade delle Fiamme Gialle, reached the final after setting the fourth time in the heat, beating Slovenian Gloria Kotnik, Japanese Tsubaki Miki and Czech Zuzana Maderova in that order. Precisely the fourth against the Japanese opened the way to success for her, while Caffont, also from Belluno and registered for the Army, began her climb by overcoming the Canadian Aurelie Moisan and then got the better of the Swiss Julie Zogg in the photo finish, winner in the first round over the other Italian Jasmin Coratti. “I’m happy with today’s match, it was quite hard-fought, especially in the final – comments Dalmasso -. With Elisa it was like finding ourselves in training, a really pleasant feeling. Now I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s challenge, hoping to repeat myself”.
