A rare snow layer covers part of the Atacama on Thursday, a 970 kilometer long desert in the north of Chile. It was one of the driest places in the world. This is reported by the Atacama Large Millimeter/Submillimeter Array (Alma) on X. The Radiotelescoop is 2,900 meters in height in the Atacama desert.
