Snipes expands management

Cologne streetwear retailer Snipes creates the position of Chief Operating Officer.

Peter Buse, who most recently held the role of COO at Momox, took up his newly created post at the streetwear retailer on February 1. From now on he will be responsible for the company’s entire logistics and IT department, Snipes said on Friday.

The appointment of the first chief operating officer is based on the company’s continued expansion and digital advancement, according to the announcement. The areas of responsibility now taken over by Buse are to be strengthened and expanded. “We are pleased to have Peter on board, an experienced colleague who brings a lot of know-how in the areas of logistics and IT and can also enrich us with his knowledge, for example in the field of omnichannel,” says Snipes CEO Sven Voth.

“Since the role of COO at Snipes hasn’t existed separately before, I’m all the more excited about redesigning and customizing it,” says Buse. In addition to Managing Director Sven Voth and Chief Financial Officer Tim Spickenbom, he will also be the third Managing Director of Snipes SE.

Buse has been COO at Momox since 2019, where he was primarily responsible for fashion and lifestyle brands. According to his profile on the LinkedIn career network, he previously worked for more than seven years as COO and member of the management board at the Bertelsmann subsidiary Arvato in the e-commerce division and in the same function at the e-commerce fulfillment specialist Netrada.
