Cologne-based streetwear retailer Snipes is launching a joint capsule with Italian sports brand Kappa just in time for the upcoming World Cup.
The collection, released as part of the “United by Attitude” campaign, combines streetwear with nostalgic football elements and is available in select stores and online, Snipes said.
The focus of the collaboration is four jerseys, which are complemented by logos from Pepsi and Opel to commemorate legendary designs from past decades. The range also includes mesh sets, tracksuits and oversized shirts and features special co-branding from both brands.
“With this collection, we combine both worlds and translate the aesthetics of iconic jerseys into a contemporary context,” explains René Dahl, Brand Director at Snipes.
For Snipes, such collaborations are an integral part of the company’s strategy to combine cultural relevance with commercial potential. Founded in 1998, the company now operates over 800 stores in Europe and the USA.
