Sneaker label Sonra offers insoles made from recycled mattresses

The Berlin luxury sneaker brand Sonra has teamed up with the Berlin-based mattress manufacturer Bett1.de. The result is insoles made from recycled mattresses.

“The expression “like walking on clouds” seems long outdated this fall, because what could be more comfortable than a soft mini mattress under your feet?”, promise the two companies that use the QX foam in the mattress core of the recycled Bett1 mattresses.

Both companies are working specifically towards greater sustainability – Sonra, for example, offers individual spare parts for sneakers such as laces, outsoles and insoles, which increase the lifespan of the products by repairing and replacing them.

At Bett1.de, almost all usable return mattresses are donated to people in need and aid projects. “We share the same vision of innovation, quality and competitiveness. We are a perfect match,” explains Sonra founder and sneaker head Hikmet Sugoer in a press release.

The Sonra insoles will be available from October 1, 2023 and will be priced at 10 euros.
