The French clothing group SMCP SAS has found a new person in charge of its Maje label: on Tuesday, the company announced that Charlotte Tasset Ferrec had been appointed CEO of the brand. The 48-year-old will take over the post on January 4th and then also join the management committee of the entire group.

The designated Maje boss was most recently employed by the Spanish fashion group Puig Group. There she was CEO of the Nina Ricci brand. Prior to that, Tasset Ferrec held various management positions at well-known retailers such as Printemps, Sephora and Gap.

“During her long career in the fashion industry, Charlotte has developed in-depth retail knowledge, strategic vision and leadership skills. These are important skills to drive Maje’s growth and expansion into one of the leading global brands in the affordable luxury segment, ”said Isabelle Guichot, CEO of SMCP, who led Maje until she was promoted to head of the group in August. In addition to Maje, the group also includes the labels Sandro, Claudie Pierlot and De Fursac.
