This concerns separate cycle paths and cycle bridges. When it freezes, the gritting services are out to spread salt so that the roads are less slippery. To also make the cycle paths safer, the Roads and Traffic Agency installed additional equipment at ten locations in Flanders to measure freezing temperatures and to spread the cycle paths in a timely manner.
