Competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics Qualifiers held in Japan, the National Men’s Volleyball Team lost 3-0 to Slovenia in its second match in Group B.
Slovenia won the first two competitive sets with scores of 28-26 and 30-28 and took the lead 2-0.
Playing a superior game throughout the third set, Slovenia increased the difference to 6 points (20-14). Although the crescent-star team reduced the difference to 2 (23-21) in the last part of the match, they lost the set 25-22 and the match 3-0.
Rok Mozic from Slovenia was the top scorer of the match with 20 points. In the National Team, Adis Lagumdzija stood out with 16 points and Mirza Lagumdzija with 14 points.
With this result, Slovenia made it 2 out of 2 in the group, while the national team suffered its first defeat. Turkey will play against the USA in its third match in the group on Tuesday, October 3 at 10:00 CEST.
The teams that finish in the top 2 of their groups in the qualifiers will have the right to participate in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
