Yesterday a daily record was broken in De Bilt. There the mercury rose to 16.2 degrees. The old record for March 2 had stood at 16.0 degrees since 1959.
According to Jan Visser, it will be a little less mild today, but it will remain pleasant for this time of year.
Lots of sun, later some clouds
The day starts sunny. More clouds will move over the province during the afternoon, but it will remain dry.
On the coast it will be 10 to 11 degrees. Inland the temperature rises to 13 to 14 degrees.
Cold night
The clouds will clear during the night and into tomorrow. This can cause it to cool down considerably. In North Holland the temperature drops to 3 to 4 degrees.
Cloud fields will also move over the province tomorrow. The maximums will then be at comparable values as today.
Warmer again later in the week
Thursday and Friday will be dry and sunny. The temperature rises to about 16 degrees both days. “It will remain spring-like for the time being,” says Jan Visser.
