The ship was on its way from Menen to Kortrijk when the skipper’s wife fell. Around 7 p.m. the skipper was able to moor near the industrial zone on the Leie in Wevelgem.
The public prosecutor arrived on the scene to investigate the circumstances of the death. These are still unclear. The woman comes from the province of Antwerp.
