She is one of the best ski racers: Lindsey Vonn. But now the American has left the training camp early.

In the coming season, the American Lindsey Vonn wants to attack again and also impress at the Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo. The ski racer made her comeback last year. The ski ace was most recently at a training camp in Chile with coach Aksel Lund Svindal – but the 40-year-old had to leave there sooner.

Vonn revealed the reason for this in a post on Instagram. She captioned a picture of herself in the snow: “Thank you for a great summer prep to everyone who helped make it happen, including Mother Nature.” She then elaborated: “Unfortunately I had to go home a day early to see my boy Leo… my boy is getting old but is still holding on. His strength gives me strength. We can do it.”

Leo is Vonn’s dog. She regularly posts it on her Instagram story and also in posts. Last year, the American announced that Leo was suffering from cancer. He then underwent chemotherapy treatment. In addition to Leo, Vonn also has a dog.
