Ski star Frida Karlsson unpacks wild party night

The international cross-country skiing season ended last weekend with the World Cup in Lahti, Finland. The stars of the scene took the opportunity to end the last race weekend in style. Sweden’s superstar Frida Karlsson unpacked the wild party night.

“We were able to celebrate all the successes we had over the winter,” Karlsson said in an interview with the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet.

The 23-year-old has already shared some impressions on Instagram. For example, on her profile you can see a video in which she opens an XXL champagne bottle with the help of her leg. The action was apparently not completely painless.

“It’s a fracture,” Karlsson joked and then explained: “No, of course not. But I can show a bruise – although it hasn’t actually gotten worse.”

Her story highlights also include a video in which she tries her hand at a boxing machine – with great success. “I really had talent there,” said Karlsson, adding: “It was crazy – I scored better than the boys. That was very unexpected with these small arms.”

The fact that the Swedish cross-country skiing team has a penchant for wild parties was already proven after the extremely successful World Ski Championships in Planica. With a total of twelve medals won, including four gold medals, Sweden was one of the most successful teams.

The celebrations that followed got a little out of hand, as Karlsson revealed in early March. “I have to hold back not to say anything about Jens Burman. Something went wrong there,” joked the 23-year-old when she returned to Sweden.

However, the season is not quite over yet. The Swedish Championships in Kalix are coming up this weekend. “It will be fun to compete in club clothes again,” said Karlsson.

But the cross-country superstar also admitted: “It honestly feels like the body has already started to take a little vacation.”
