Top duel goes into the next round
Today we can probably expect two names in particular at the front. Nozomi Maruyama from Japan and the Slovenian Two Nights Tour winner Nika Prevc are in a neck-and-neck race for the top position in the overall World Cup. Both have already won five times this winter and are well ahead of the competition. Before the two competitions in Villach, Maruyama is 34 points ahead of Prevc in the overall standings.

ÖSV duo with strong qualifications
In the Austrian camp, the qualification gave hope for a top placement at the home game. Lisa Eder and Julia Mühlbacher took second and third place at midday behind Nika Prevc, who was once again jumping in her own world. Combiner Lisa Hirner also qualified for the competition.

Young Swiss talent without a chance
Three athletes from Switzerland tried out for the qualification, but none of them were able to make it into the top 40 and therefore missed the competition. Sina Arnet was still relatively close to qualifying, while Simone Buff and Rea Kindlimann clearly missed it.
13:52
German ladies with tailwind
The DSV team traveled to Villach with a great deal of self-confidence from the two-night tour on home soil. Selina Freitag impressed there with two podium places and second place in the overall ranking. Agnes Reisch jumped into the top ten twice, Katharina Schmid once on her farewell tour. The trio can still do a lot today. In addition, Juliane Seyfarth and Emely Torazza have just qualified for the competition, while Julina Kreibich did not make it into the top 40.
