Ski jumper Markus Eisenbichler showed a shape in the second -class Continental Cup with a victory and three podium places. However, the increase in performance is too late for the Nordic Ski World Cup.
Markus Eisenbichler collects new self -confidence in the second -class Continental Cup. The six-time ski jumping world champion took ranks 3, 2, 3 and 1 on a long weekend in Iron Mountain/USA.
“I’m super satisfied with my performance. It’s a lot of fun”Eisenbichler wrote after the third competition on Instagram. During his victory on Sunday, he left former vice world champion Robert Johansson (Norway) and junior world champion Stephan Embacher (Austria).
World Cup without Eisenbichler
The Nordic Ski World Cup, which starts in Trondheim on Wednesday, will still miss Eisenbichler. After a moderate season, he did not make the leap into the five-member World Cup team. Almost exactly a year ago, he also won in Iron Mountain in the Continental Cup.
