Will Prevc hold on to overall victory?
It probably goes without saying that Nika Prevc is once again the biggest favorite to win the day and therefore the overall victory. But things get more exciting after that. We have already talked about Selina Freitag’s chances. The Japanese Nozomi Maruyama has had a really good season so far. And Anna Odine Strøm and Abigail Strate will definitely be at the forefront.

No Swiss women in the competition
Unfortunately, none of the three Swiss women qualified for the competition today. Sina Arnet, Rea Kindlimann and Simone Buff are only allowed to watch.

Eder also wants to move forward
With Lisa Eder and Julia Mühlbacher we see two Austrians in the first round today. Eder is also one of those who are aiming for a place at the very top. Many top 10 placements and podium finishes are evidence of their class this season. With fourth place in the qualification, she showed that the Schattenbergschanze doesn’t cause her any major problems.

On course for the podium on Friday
The DSV qualified with a large group. Five of them made it into the first round. Above all, of course, Selina Freitag, who only had to admit defeat to the dominator Nika Prevc in the opening competition yesterday. This means that she is of course in second place in the overall ranking and can have legitimate hopes of being on the podium after today. Katharina Schmid and Agnes Reisch also got along well yesterday. They finished the day in a joint eighth place. Schmid only ended up in 28th place in the qualifying and now needs a decent improvement. Juliane Seyfarth and Emely Torazza are also there.

Welcome
Welcome and first of all a happy new year! The ski jumpers also want to start 2026 as well as possible. And that on the Schattenbergschanze in Oberstdorf. The first competition of the two-night tour took place yesterday, today the second and therefore decisive competition follows from 4:15 p.m.
