The Kiefersfelden native jumped to 126.5 meters in very good conditions and was only beaten by the qualification winner Daniel Tschofenig from Austria (125.5 meters) and the Swiss Gregor Deschwanden (131.0 meters). Deschwanden landed the furthest jump in the driving snow in Wisla.

Geiger weak – title missed qualification

The second best German was Andreas Wellinger (123.5 meters) in fifth place. Karl Geiger showed a weak jump (102.3 meters) and came 36th. Stephan Leyhe (12th / 121.5 meters), Markus Eisenbichler (16th / 119.0 meters) and Philipp Raimund (26th / 115.0 meters) completed the DSV result

Adrian Tittel’s jump of just 103.5 meters was not enough to qualify. He was the only German eliminated and will not be there on Saturday.
