The Austrian ski jumper Eva Pinkelnig fell heavily when the first test jumping on the new Olympic ski jump in Predazzo.
The 37-year-old from Vorarlberg fell in the second round after the landing, stayed in the run and kept his knee. Screams could be heard on television.
After a first aid, peeing is to be brought to a clinic, where a precise examination will take place. Coach Thomas Diethart said: “She is still in shock. It is difficult to assess how she really is.” The ski jumps in the Val di Fiemme in Italy have been rebuilt for the Winter Olympics in February next year. The summer GP is the first test.
