Ski, Garmisch slalom, Kristoffersen triumphs. Vinatzer is 7th

The Norwegian beats Meillard and Feller. The blue goes back with a great second heat

The first Garmisch slalom is by Henrik Kristoffersen. The great disappointment of the Beijing Games – zero medals – left behind (in 1’46 ”14) the Swiss Loic Meillard (at 14/100) and the Austrian Manuel Feller (at 51/100). The Swiss Tanguy Nef, who had been the surprise of the first heat (first with bib number 25) went out in the second downhill. For the Norwegian it is the 25th success of the Cup, the twentieth in slalom. With a great second heat (second best time) Alex Vinatzer climbs up from 23rd to seventh position. The Olympic champion Clement Noel got on in the second heat after the twelfth place in the first.

The other blues

Stefano Gross closes in eleventh place at 1 ”29, then Tommaso Sala 14th at 1” 56, twenty-first Giuliano Razzoli at 2 ”14.

Tomorrow is repeated with another slalom.
