Respectable World Championships debut for Muriel Mohr: The 16-year-old finished eleventh in slopestyle at the Ski Freestyle World Championships in Bakuriani. World Champion was Mathilde Gremaud from Switzerland.

Reaching the final of the Freestyle World Championships in Georgia was already a great success for freestyle skier Muriel Mohr. “#neverstopexploring” wrote the woman from Aschheim under her Instagram post. The only 16-year-old freestyler wanted to gain experience. Her two runs were good, but the trick difficulties were missing – nevertheless she made it to eleventh place with 43.73 points.

Mohr, who has only completed three World Cups so far, is considered an outstanding talent. At the 2021 Junior World Championships, she won silver in slopestyle and big air. Alia Delia Eichinger (St. Oswald) narrowly missed out on making it to the final as 14th (39.16 points).

Olympic champion is world champion

Olympic champion Mathilde Gremaud became world champion in slopestyle with 87.95 points. The Swiss prevailed against Canadian Meghan Oldmann (87.75). Bronze went to Johanne Killi from Norway (84.71).

Norwegian double victory in the men

The Norwegian Birk Ruud, who had secured Olympic gold in the big air in Beijing, prevailed in the men’s category. Second was his compatriot Christian Nummedal in front of the Swiss defending champion Andri Ragettli.
