After a mixed season so far, the results from South Tyrol could now give the German men a boost for the rest of the winter. Wilmsmann even lost his right ski pole in the semi-finals but still confidently reached the final.

For Hronek it was the first podium since March 2021. Wilmsmann, third overall last season, finished in the top three for the ninth time in his World Cup career. This winter, only Daniela Maier from the German squad had previously reached the podium with her victory in Val Thorens two weeks ago.

Maier came 7th among women

Among the women, Maier took seventh place as the best German. The victory surprisingly went to the Swiss Sistine Cousin. The Swede Sandra Näslund, who has dominated for years, fell in the final.

The next races will not take place until the new year. Men and women will compete in two races each on January 20th and 21st in Nakiska, Canada.
