Ester Ledecká (CZE)
Okay, Ester Ledecká obviously wants to be right, really fast here. It drives so clean and soulful that after a few moments it is half a second in front. She cannot keep up with the very strong middle section of the American, but still remained in the lead. Shortly before the finish, it is pushed in too far back in a curve and therefore it is only enough for second place!

Laura Gauche (FRA)

Laura Gauche (FRA)
And Laura Gauche also does it well, but is not at the forefront. Before the first jump she is a bit restless. Otherwise, she takes on the route and the area well and also finds good ways. Then she is still missing something to continue to drive forward than fourth place.

Nicol Delago (ITA)

Nicol Delago (ITA)
Nicole Delago shows in the first seconds that she likes and can. So it is a quarter of a second early and takes the waves really well. In the middle part she loses some pace. Even though the journey is actually perfect. She practically has no mistakes, but unfortunately it is not enough for the front. It is finally 76 hundredths in the back and second place.
11:37
Kira Weidle-Winkelmann (GER)
11:35
Kira Weidle-Winkelmann (GER)
And it gets serious for Kira Weidle-Winkelmann. It is a bit back right after the first section, but builds up a good speed. A wave is not perfectly successful and she falls back a little. Weidle-Winkelmann stays well on train, but because she puts a short moment across, she loses speed, that pulls down and lands one and a half seconds behind Johnson. Then she is a bit at a loss.

Breezy Johnson (USA)
11:32
Breezy Johnson (USA)
33 starters want to know it today and Breezy Johnson is the first. It hits the waves in the upper area, but is always removed from the line. She takes the panoramic jump well and is pretty quick. And so it arrives in the target stadium after a minute and 41 seconds and is cheered frenetically.

Perfect conditions
The conditions are once again excellent. The slope fits and the weather is perfect. No cloud can be seen in the sky. So everything is directed for an exciting competition. It starts right away!
11:21
The other favorites
In addition to the already mentioned Cornelia Hütter, Stephanie Venier and also Lara Gut-Behrami in the departure, nothing works without the two Italians Federica Brignone and Sofia Goggia. They are both in a really good shape and deliver the entire season. But of course we are also very excited to see who else can mix here.
11:17
Gut-Behrami with the best chances
From a Swiss perspective, Lara Gut-Behrami (8) naturally has the greatest chance of a medal. Although her best departure result from this season is only a third place in Beaver Creek, she was able to win the first training session and show that she copes well with the slopes. With number eleven, it is Corinne Suter. It has become strong in the departure, especially in the past few weeks and has come into an even better form for the World Cup. Also included are Priska Ming-Nufer and Malorie Blanc. Blanc will celebrate her first assignment at a World Cup today.

Preliminary report Stephanie Venier
11:13
Hütter won last year
Cornelia Hütter, Mirjam Puchner, Stephanie Venier and Ariane Rädler are there with the Austrian racing suit. Hütter is allowed to run with number seven and should have good memories of Saalbach. Because in March last year she was able to win the departure here. And too this season she was at the top of the podium. Mirjam Puchner (9) obviously also goes well with the slopes. Because she was able to win a training session and secure second place. Stephanie Venier goes into this descent with the gold medal from the Super G in the back. In training, however, the 31-year-old was not ideal for the 31-year-old. Ariane Rädler (17) makes the end of the Austrians. Her best result this season was the seventh place in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
11:06
Preliminary report Emma Aicher
11:06
Aicher convinced in training
With Kira Weible-Winkelmann and Emma Aicher, two German athletes are involved. Weidle-Winkelmann is allowed to go on the slopes in second place. If everything fits her together, it can go far forward. The shape in the three training sessions continuously got better. And that she can only demonstrate in Garmisch-Partenkirchen that she can go to the top. It is the turn of Emma Aicher with number 30. And with her we should be particularly careful today. Because we have seen it again and again throughout the season. In the training sessions before this departure, however, she shot the bird and placed four, eight and three in places. It can literally roll up the field from behind today.
