It is not yet clear who that man is, but he was about 1m75 tall and between 36 and 50 years old. He also had a rheumatic condition that may have been due to a luxurious lifestyle.
Everything indicates that he was an important figure in Ypres. For example, a grave made of stone was highly exceptional at that time. The skeleton will soon be on display in an exhibition in the Yper Museum.
