Behind Stolz, Wennemars finished sixth in 1.44.86. Tim Prins was slightly faster than Wennemars with 1.44.82 and finished fifth. He lost his ride to the 18-year-old German talent Finn Sonnekalb (1.44.28), who finished fourth.
Nuis flew in the final stage against Ning, but lost a lot of time on Stolz in the second full lap. He stayed ahead of Ning and grabbed silver.
