Further investigations revealed that similar crimes were committed on at least four victims. According to opposition party Pro Nieuwpoort, an audit from last year should be made public, because that report is “downright destructive for the residential care center”, including in terms of workload and timetables, says municipal councilor Nicolas Vermote.
“In six years we have noticed that nothing has improved. Four crisis managers have been reviewed. We have an increasing bill of 1.2 million euros. For us, this is enough. Employees of the residential care center and family of residents say that it cannot continue like this. We want action to be taken and that audit to be made public so that people know what is going on there.”
