The chapel has been wind and waterproof since 2021, but storm damage and additional stability studies again caused a delay. Now the final phase of the project has been approved. This includes the design of the chapel with floor, heating, lighting and an altar, as well as the construction of the garden in the ship.
The works start this fall. The full finish is provided at the end of 2026, with the beginning of 2027 as more realistic target date. The costs for this final phase, just like the first phase, amount to around 2 million euros.
