Former teacher Stefaan Archie guided the tour and talked about the significance of the chapels along the way. “When they come to a chapel, they at least know what it means and what people used to come to pray for,” he says. “For example, for a good harvest or when a cow had to calve.”
In addition to the explanation about the chapels, contact between young and old was also central. That is why the students were asked questions along the way to ask their grandparents.
