Sint-Denijs gets bike park
The city council of Zwevegem approved the construction of a bike park. The residents of Zwevegem are increasingly asking for such a bike park and it has now been confirmed that there will actually be one. The park should be the place where beginner to advanced and recreational to competitive bikers get their money’s worth. Both mountain bikers, trial bikers and BMX riders are welcome. But the park is also ideal for those who want to improve their cycling skills.
The location for the park is the second football field of the Sint-Denijs sports centre. That is now rarely used.
Unique in the region
This concept is unique in the region and is part of the plans to put the spacious area around the Gavers Harelbeke and Transfo Zwevegem on the map as an adventure sports region. The construction of the park may cost a maximum of 250,000 euros. The works will be carried out this year.
