Sinner-Sonego prediction, Atp Montpellier: over 9.5 games in the 1st set

Quarterfinals in the Montpellier 250cc: Jannik and Lorenzo have never faced each other in their careers. For whoever wins there is a French player

Sinner against Sonego, first act. Jannik and Lorenzo compete for access to the semifinal of the 250cc tournament in Montpellier in an all-Italian and unprecedented challenge: the two have never faced each other in their career. There is therefore great curiosity, also because the South Tyrolean hasn’t played since the match against Stefanos Tsitsipas at the Australian Open: Simone Vagnozzi’s student did not take the field for the match against Marton Fucsovics in Montpellier due to the Hungarian’s withdrawal.

Prediction: Over 9.5 in the first set

Whoever wins will face one between Quentin Halys and the 2oo4 class Arthur Fils, an all-French challenge: whatever happens, in the semifinal it will be Italy against France. But what should we expect from the match between Sinner and Sonego? Jannik is stronger than the Turinese, but as mentioned he hasn’t played since 22 January. While Lorenzo is hotter, he shows up after winning in two sets against Bonzi and Krajinovic. Sonego can be a difficult player, even more so on indoor hard courts: in these conditions last year he won the Metz tournament and did very well in the Davis Cup finals in Magala. We can therefore expect a fairly hard-fought first set: the odds for the Over 9.5 game are 1.73 for Bet365, Better and GoldBet.

Sinner-Sonego, the odds

All the betting sites agree in indicating Sinner as the main favorite to win the final: the odds for Jannik’s success are 1.28 for Bet365, 1.27 for StarCasino and Better. The odds for Sonego’s victory are decidedly higher: 3.75 for Bet365, 3.65 for StarCasino and 3.55 for Better. The most probable result is Sinner’s success in two sets: 1.83 for Bet365, 1.76 for GoldBet and Better.
