The fact that Nicky (44) did not receive a loan in ‘Blind Bought’ and therefore had to give up her dream of owning her own home is recognizable to many Flemish people. There are the high interest rates and the fact that the bank requires a high own contribution. But for 7,057 families, a Flemish housing loan proved to be the solution last year. Who is eligible for this, how does it work and how does it differ from a bank loan?
