The Netherlands is through to the final of the Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday. Singer S10 secured a spot with her song De Diepte on Tuesday during the first semifinal in Turin. As expected, Ukraine, which according to betting shops has the greatest chance of winning, is also through.
In total, seventeen countries competed for ten places in the final. Switzerland, Armenia, Iceland, Lithuania, Portugal, Norway, Greece and Moldova have also passed. The Netherlands was the last finalist to be announced.
The second semifinal will take place on Thursday. Eighteen countries, including Finland, Australia, Ireland, Belgium and Sweden, compete for ten places in the final. Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Great Britain, or the so-called ‘Big Five’, are already assured of a place in the final.
