Simon Mignolet about farewell to Red Devils: “Full focus as a goalkeeper at Club Brugge”

This morning he explained his decision at a press conference at Club Brugge’s training camp in Westkapelle. There he says, among other things, that he should mainly listen to his body if he wants to continue as goalkeeper of Club Brugge for a few more years. The decision to stop as a Red Devil was not an easy one.

Mignolet made his debut in 2011 and eventually reaches 35 caps. He mainly remained in the shadow of top goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. “I have 35 caps that I am very proud of. In addition, I have also been selected a lot. Without Courtois, I might have played many more matches as a Red Devil. Still, I am very grateful for all the great moments with the Red Devils,” said the ex-Red Devil.
